Kralendijk, – Met grote trots deelt Special Olympics Bonaire de prachtige resultaten van onze atleten tijdens hun deelname aan de Special Olympics Nationale Spelen Haarlem 2026 in Nederland.

Onze delegatie heeft niet alleen volop genoten van deze bijzondere ervaring, maar ook fantastische sportieve prestaties geleverd. Met veel inzet, enthousiasme en teamspirit hebben onze atleten meerdere medailles gewonnen in verschillende sportdisciplines.

De voetbalploeg bestond uit de volgende spelers: Joviantly Susanna, Christopher Martha, Robert Statius, K’Shawn Pietersz, Camilo Matthew, Jeadan Thode en Elton Winklaar. Ook Helder Wout, die wegens ziekte niet kon deelnemen aan de reis, maakt deel uit van het team. Hoewel hij niet heeft kunnen meereizen met de delegatie, kijken wij ernaar uit hem weer te verwelkomen bij aankomst.

Wij zijn ontzettend blij en trots op onze atleten. Zij hebben niet alleen veel prijzen gewonnen, maar vooral enorm genoten van deze bijzondere ervaring. Het belangrijkste doel van de Special Olympics blijft plezier, inclusie, persoonlijke groei en het creëren van onvergetelijke herinneringen door middel van sport.

Onze delegatie zal terugkeren op dinsdag 16 juni om 12:30 uur ’s middags op Flamingo International Airport. Wij nodigen de gemeenschap, familie, vrienden en supporters van harte uit om onze atleten feestelijk thuis te verwelkomen.

Wij hopen iedereen daar te zien om onze atleten aan te moedigen en hun geweldige prestaties samen te vieren!

Kralendijk, Special Olympics Bonaire proudly shares the outstanding results achieved by our athletes during their participation in the Special Olympics National Games Haarlem 2026 in the Netherlands.

The football team consisted of the following players: Joviantly Susanna, Christopher Martha, Robert Statius, K’Shawn Pietersz, Camilo Matthew, Jeadan Thode, and Elton Winklaar. Helder Wout, who was unable to participate in the trip due to illness, is also part of the team.

Although he was unable to travel with the delegation, we look forward to welcoming him upon arrival.

We are extremely happy and proud of our athletes. They not only won many medals but, above all, greatly enjoyed this special experience.

The main purpose of the Special Olympics remains enjoyment, inclusion, personal growth, and creating unforgettable memories through sports.

Our delegation will be arriving back on Tuesday, June 16th at 12:30 PM (noon) at Flamingo International Airport. We warmly invite the community, family, friends, and supporters to join us in welcoming our athletes home.

We hope to see everyone there to cheer for our athletes and celebrate their amazing achievements!
