WEB EN CGB HERSTELLEN SAMEN STROOMVOORZIENING NA BLACK-OUT
Kralendijk,- Op 7 januari om 23:05 uur heeft er een stroomstoring plaatsgevonden waarbij het gehele eiland werd getroffen.
Kort daarna heeft WEB geconstateerd dat het om een totale black-out ging.
Het team van Water- en Energiebedrijf Bonaire (WEB) kwam direct in actie en startte een onderzoek naar de oorzaak van de stroomstoring.
Hoewel een grondige inspectie werd uitgevoerd, kon de precieze oorzaak nog niet worden vastgesteld. Gedurende de nacht is er, met de nodige zorgvuldigheid, gestart met geleidelijk herstel van de energievoorziening, waarbij er eerst rekening gehouden is met de vitale sectoren, zoals; het ziekenhuis Fundashon Mariadal, Politie en Brandweer. Om 05:30 uur was de energievoorziening zo goed als volledig hersteld.
Uit nadere onderzoek is er gebleken dat er een storing in een hoogspanningsinstallatie heeft plaatsgevonden ter hoogte van het industrieterrein in de omgeving van Kaya Atom.
In de vroege ochtend zijn de medewerkers van WEB begonnen met het repareren van de defect geraakte installatie.
Er wordt nadere analyse gedaan naar de oorzaak van het falen van de component. De situatie wordt nauwlettend gevolgd. De prioriteit was om Bonaire zo snel en veilig mogelijk weer van stroom te voorzien. WEB bedankt de gemeenschap voor haar begrip en verontschuldigt zich voor eventueel ongemak dat dit heeft veroorzaakt.

Kralendijk,- On January 7 at 11:05 PM, a power outage occurred affecting the entire island. Shortly after, WEB confirmed it was a complete blackout.
The team from Water- en Energiebedrijf Bonaire (WEB) immediately took action and started an investigation into the cause of the power outage. Although a thorough inspection was carried out, the exact cause could not yet be determined.
During the night, with the necessary care, the gradual restoration of the power supply began, prioritizing vital sectors such as the Fundashon Mariadal Hospital, Police, and Fire Department.
By 5:30 AM, the power supply was almost fully restored. Further investigation revealed that a fault occurred in a high-voltage installation near the industrial area around Kaya Atom. In the early morning, WEB employees began repairing the damaged installation.
A more detailed analysis is being conducted to determine the cause of the component failure. The situation is being closely monitored.
The priority was to restore power to Bonaire as quickly and safely as possible. WEB thanks the community for their understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
