VOOR BETERE ECONOMISCHE ANALYSES CBCS HOUDT ENQUÊTE ONDER BOUWBEDRIJVEN IN CURAÇAO EN SINT MAARTEN

WILLEMSTAD/PHILIPSBURG — De Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS), in samenwerking met de Kamer van Koophandel en Nijverheid Curaçao (KvK) en de St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry (COCI), gaat een nieuwe enquête lanceren om inzichten te verkrijgen in de bouwsector.

Inzichten in de ontwikkelingen binnen de bouwsector zijn essentieel voor het meten van de economische activiteit, de investeringsontwikkelingen en het ondernemersvertrouwen. Deze enquête volgt op de editie van vorig jaar in de bedrijfstak industrie, waarvoor in Curaçao een vervolgonderzoek zal worden uitgevoerd om de resultaten te vergelijken met die van vorig jaar.

De enquête over de bouwsector zal informatie verzamelen over de bedrijfsresultaten, het bredere economische klimaat en de verwachte ontwikkelingen. De resultaten zullen in het vierde kwartaal van dit jaar worden gepubliceerd.

Op 19 augustus 2025 ontvangen bedrijven in de bouwsector van beide landen per e-mail een link naar een online-enquête, die beschikbaar is in het Papiaments, Nederlands en Engels. Het invullen kost naar schatting tien minuten. De antwoorden blijven anoniem en alle gegevens worden strikt vertrouwelijk behandeld.

De CBCS publiceert elk kwartaal een Economisch Bulletin met analyses van de economieën van Curaçao en Sint Maarten.

Deze analyses vormen een onderbouwing voor monetair, fiscaal en economisch beleid en voor de beoordeling van de effectiviteit daarvan. Ook dienen ze als informatiebron voor bedrijven bij hun financiële planning en investeringsbeslissingen.

De CBCS actualiseert haar economische vooruitzichten regelmatig aan de hand van zowel binnenlandse als internationale ontwikkelingen.

Daarbij bieden de perspectieven van bedrijven over hun huidige prestaties, de algemene economische situatie en hun verwachtingen voor de nabije toekomst waardevolle inzichten voor economische analyse en prognoses.

De enquête kent bovendien een retrospectief element: bedrijven wordt gevraagd naar hun prestaties in het verleden om zo een referentiepunt te creëren voor toekomstige vergelijkingen.

De CBCS verzoekt bedrijven in de bouwsector van Curaçao en Sint Maarten om de enquête vóór 1 september 2025 in te vullen. Bedrijven die actief zijn in de bouwsector en de enquête niet hebben ontvangen, maar toch willen deelnemen, kunnen de link naar de online-enquête opvragen via

De verkregen inzichten en ervaringen zullen een belangrijke bijdrage leveren aan een beter begrip van de ontwikkeling en prestaties van de economieën van Curaçao en Sint Maarten.

Willemstad/Philipsburg – The Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS) in collaboration with the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KvK) and the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry (COCI) is launching a new survey to gather insights on the construction sector.

Insights into developments in the construction sector are essential for assessing economic activity as well as measuring investment trends and business sentiment.

This survey follows last year’s edition covering the manufacturing sector, for which a follow-up survey will be conducted in Curaçao to compare the results with those gathered last year.

On August 19, 2025, a link to an online survey, available in Papiamentu, Dutch, and English, will be sent by email to businesses in the construction sector of both countries. The estimated time to complete the survey is 10 minutes. Responses will remain anonymous, and all data will be treated with strict confidentiality.

The CBCS publishes an Economic Bulletin every quarter, analyzing the economies of Curaçao and Sint Maarten. The analyses help guide monetary, fiscal, and economic policies and assess their effectiveness. They also serve as a source for businesses in financial planning and investment decision-making.

The CBCS regularly updates its economic outlook by assessing both domestic and international developments.
