SUCCESVOL ETWINNING-WEBINAR BRENGT DOCENTEN VAN BONAIRE, SINT EUSTATIUS EN SABA SAMEN

Vorige week vond een inspirerende en interactieve eTwinning-webinar plaats, georganiseerd in samenwerking met het Kabinet van de Speciaal Gezant voor Bonaire, Sint Eustatius en Saba. Meer dan dertig leerkrachten en onderwijsprofessionals van zowel het primair als het voortgezet onderwijs van de drie eilanden namen actief deel aan de sessie.

Tijdens het webinar maakten de deelnemers uitgebreid kennis met eTwinning – het Europese online platform dat docenten en scholen met elkaar verbindt om samen te werken aan internationale onderwijsprojecten. De facilitators gaven een heldere toelichting op de mogelijkheden die eTwinning biedt om grensoverschrijdend leren te stimuleren en de digitale vaardigheden van leerlingen te versterken.

Een van de sprekers was Roberto Willems, eTwinning-ambassadeur, die inspirerende voorbeelden van best practices deelde. Aan de hand van concrete projecten liet hij zien hoe scholen op een eenvoudige manier kunnen starten met eTwinning en hoe samenwerking met Europese partners kan bijdragen aan een rijkere leerervaring voor leerlingen.

De deelnemers reageerden enthousiast op de interactieve opzet van het webinar en spraken hun waardering uit voor de praktische handvatten die zij hebben meegekregen om eTwinning in hun eigen lespraktijk toe te passen.

Aan het einde van de sessie maakte Speciaal Gezant Edison Rijna van de gelegenheid gebruik om een vervolgstap aan te kondigen. Op 27 november aanstaande zal er een vervolgwebinar plaatsvinden, ditmaal gericht op Erasmus+. Tijdens deze sessie zullen facilitators van het Nederlands Nationaal Agentschap Erasmus+ een inspirerende presentatie verzorgen over de mogelijkheden binnen dit Europese programma, waaronder mobiliteitsprojecten en andere vormen van internationale samenwerking in het onderwijs.

Met deze reeks initiatieven wordt een belangrijke stap gezet in het versterken van de internationale oriëntatie van het onderwijs op Bonaire, Sint Eustatius en Saba. Het Kabinet van de Speciaal Gezant blijft zich inzetten om samenwerkingskansen te bevorderen en duurzame kennisuitwisseling tussen scholen in het Caribisch deel van het Koninkrijk en daarbuiten verder te stimuleren.

SUCCESSFUL ETWINNING WEBINAR BRINGS TOGETHER TEACHERS FROM BONAIRE, ST. EUSTATIUS AND SABA

Kralendijk,- Last week, an inspiring and interactive eTwinning webinar took place, organised in collaboration with the Cabinet of the Special Envoy for Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.

More than thirty teachers and education professionals from both primary and secondary education on the three islands actively participated in the session.

During the webinar, participants were introduced to eTwinning – the European online platform that connects teachers and schools to collaborate on international educational projects. The facilitators provided a clear explanation of the opportunities offered by eTwinning to stimulate cross-border learning and to strengthen the digital skills of pupils.

One of the speakers was Roberto Willems, eTwinning ambassador, who shared inspiring examples of best practices. On the basis of specific projects, he demonstrated how schools can easily get started with eTwinning and how cooperation with European partners can contribute to a richer learning experience for pupils.

The participants responded enthusiastically to the interactive format of the webinar and expressed their appreciation for the practical tools they were given to apply eTwinning in their own teaching practice.

At the end of the session, Special Envoy Edison Rijna took the opportunity to announce a next step. On 27 November, there will be a follow-up webinar, this time focusing on Erasmus+.

During this session, facilitators from the Dutch National Agency Erasmus+ will give an inspiring presentation on the opportunities available within this European programme, including mobility projects and other forms of international cooperation in education.

This series of initiatives represents an important step towards the strengthening of the international orientation of education on Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.

The Cabinet of the Special Envoy remains committed to promoting opportunities for cooperation and further stimulating sustainable knowledge exchange between schools in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom and beyond.
