BRAND OP DE VUILSTORTPLAATS

Kralendijk,- In de vroege uren van maandag 2 februari is brand uitgebroken bij Afvalcentrum Lagun (ACL). Nadat het beveiligingspersoneel rookontwikkeling vanuit een ondergrondse ruimte had waargenomen, zijn direct de interne veiligheidsprotocollen geactiveerd om de situatie te beheersen. Dankzij de snelle en doortastende inzet van de medewerkers van Selibon N.V. was de brand binnen een uur onder controle en volledig geblust.

Huidige situatie

De brand is niet langer actief en de situatie is onder controle. Conform de geldende procedures wordt de locatie periodiek gemonitord door onze medewerkers, in lijn met het recent ingevoerde besturingssysteem bij Afvalcentrum Lagun.

Mogelijke overlast

De overlast voor omwonenden zal naar verwachting beperkt zijn. Niettemin kan enige rookoverlast niet volledig worden uitgesloten.

FIRE AT THE LANDFILL

Kralendijk,- In the early hours of Monday, February 2nd, a fire broke out at the Lagun Waste Centre (ACL). After security personnel observed smoke coming from an underground area, internal safety protocols were immediately activated to control the situation. Thanks to the quick and decisive action of Selibon N.V. employees, the fire was under control and completely extinguished within an hour.

 Current situation

The fire is no longer active, and the situation is under control. In accordance with current procedures, our employees are periodically monitoring the site, in line with the recently implemented control system at Lagun Waste Center.

Possible nuisance

The inconvenience to residents is expected to be limited. However, some smoke nuisances cannot be completely ruled out.
