Kralendijk,- Pride Bonaire 2026 is zaterdag succesvol van start gegaan met een drukbezochte en feestelijke opening bij Cuba Compagnie. Een spetterend optreden van Semii Marten zorgde voor een geweldige sfeer en een mooie aftrap van de Pride-week.

Tijdens de opening werd ook de jaarlijkse Pride Award uitgereikt aan Joep en Ed. De award is een erkenning voor hun jarenlange inzet om binnen hun horecazaken een plek te creëren waar iedereen zich welkom voelt, zowel gasten als medewerkers.

Diezelfde visie wordt ook al jarenlang uitgedragen door Cuba Compagnie en eigenaar Huub Groot. Voor hem staat voorop dat iedereen welkom is als gast, maar ook dat medewerkers zichzelf moeten kunnen zijn en kunnen werken in een veilige, respectvolle en inclusieve werkomgeving.
