TWEEDE EDITIE VAN DE SKAL JAM SESSION OP MAANDAG 16 JUNI – EEN OPROEP AAN ALLE MUZIKANTEN

Kralendijk – SKAL is klaar voor de tweede editie van de Jam Session in de tuin van SKAL. Via dit bericht doet SKAL een oproep aan alle muzikanten om maandag 16 juni vrij te houden voor deze muzikale bijeenkomst.

De eerste editie vond exact plaats op zondag 12 mei en was een groot succes, wat aanleiding geeft om deze sessie vanaf nu maandelijks voort te zetten.

Elke maand krijgen muzikanten de kans om elkaar te ontmoeten in een informele, gezellige setting, waarbij ruimte is voor:

• workshops door ervaren muzikanten,
• creatieve en muzikale uitwisseling,
• gesprek en samenwerking met het SKAL/OLB team over muzikale ideeën en behoeftes,
• en ontmoeting tussen diverse culturele achtergronden.

De Jam Session is niet alleen voor Bonairiaanse muzikanten, maar voor iedere muzikant op het eiland, inclusief toeristen die misschien voor het duiken komen, maar ook muziek maken en openstaan voor cultureel contact.

De tweede editie vindt plaats op maandag 16 juni,
van 19:00 tot 22:00 uur.
Deze editie wordt geleid door Maestro Wesley “Wewe” Sin Jago, die zal ingaan op de muzikale tradities en geschiedenis rond San Juan en San Pedro.

SKAL bedankt iedereen die deelnam aan de eerste sessie. Onze excuses dat de communicatie hierover beperkt was – het betrof een try-out. Nu we het succes hebben gezien, zetten we door.

Het team van SKAL kijkt ernaar uit om onze muzikanten een platform te bieden. Vertel het voort!

SECOND EDITION OF THE SKAL JAM SESSION – MONDAY, JUNE 16 – OPEN CALL FOR ALL MUSICIANS

Kralendijk – SKAL is excited to announce the second edition of the Jam Session in the SKAL courtyard. Through this message, SKAL invites all musicians to reserve Monday, June 16, for this special musical gathering.

The first session took place on Sunday, May 12, and due to its success, SKAL will now continue hosting it monthly.

Each month, musicians are invited to meet in a relaxed and inspiring environment, featuring:

●          workshops led by experienced artists,

●          musical and creative exchanges,

●          discussions with the SKAL/OLB team on new ideas and needs,

●          and encounters across different cultures and backgrounds.

The Jam Session is not limited to local musicians – every musician on the island is welcome, including tourists who may have come to dive but also happen to be musicians seeking cultural connection.

second edition will be held on Monday, June 16, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

This session will be led by Maestro Wesley “Wewe” Sin Jago, who will explore the history and musical traditions surrounding San Juan and San Pedro.

SKAL would like to thank everyone who participated in the first session. We apologize for the limited communication – it was a pilot. Now that we’ve seen its potential, we are fully committed to moving forward. The SKAL team is enthusiastic about offering a space for our musicians.
