 Kralendijk,- Bonaire groeit snel en als gevolg daarvan neemt de vraag naar elektriciteit toe. Steeds meer huishoudens en bedrijven hebben behoefte aan een stabiele en betrouwbare stroomvoorziening. Water – en Energiebedrijf Bonaire (WEB) neemt haar verantwoordelijkheid en blijft investeren in de toekomst.

Daarom wordt tussen 31 maart en 4 april een uitbreiding van de distributiecapaciteit op de locatie WEB Nobo in gebruik genomen. Wat betekent dit voor Bonaire? WEB Nobo zorgt ervoor dat er op het eiland voldoende elektriciteitsdistributiecapaciteit is.

Dit project, dat bijna twee jaar voorbereiding en voltooiing in beslag nam, is nu klaar om in gebruik te worden genomen en de elektriciteitsvoorziening in de toekomst te garanderen. Voor WEB is het belangrijk om haar klanten te informeren over dit soort werkzaamheden. Er worden geen stroomonderbreking verwacht. Na een zorgvuldige risicoanalyse verwacht WEB geen stroomuitval. Om WEB Nobo in gebruik te kunnen nemen, moeten er een aantal technische aanpassingen worden gedaan aan de WEB Nobo-site.

Wij doen er alles aan om ervoor te zorgen dat dit geen ongemakken voor klanten oplevert. Mocht er zich een onverwachte situatie voordoen, dan staat WEB klaar om snel te handelen en de duur van eventuele onderbrekingen tot een minimum te beperken.

Water – en Energiebedrijf Bonaire (WEB) takes its responsibility and continues to invest in the future. That is why an expansion of the distribution capacity, at the site called WEB Nobo, will be put into operation between March 31st and April 4th .

What does this mean for Bonaire? WEB Nobo ensures that there is sufficient electricity distribution capacity on the island. This project, which took almost two years to prepare and complete, is now ready to go into operation and guarantee electricity supply in the future. For WEB it is important to inform its customers about work of this nature.

No power outages expected After a careful risk analysis, WEB does not anticipate any power outages. To put WEB Nobo into operation some technical adaptations must be made to the WEB Nobo site.

Every effort is made to ensure that this does not cause any inconvenience to customers. In the event of an unexpected situation, WEB is ready to act quickly and keep any possible interruption to a minimum duration.
