MILITAIRE BIJSTAND BIJ DOORZOEKING GEVANGENIS POINT BLANCHE SINT MAARTEN

Philipsburg, -Het mariniersdetachement op Sint Maarten van Defensie in het Caribisch gebied, heeft op woensdag 12 februari ondersteuning verleend aan het Korps Politie Sint Maarten tijdens een doorzoeking in de Penitentiaire Inrichting Point Blanche. Het doel van deze bijstand was
het handhaven van de orde binnen de gevangenis en het waarborgen van de veiligheid van zowel medewerkers als gedetineerden.

Het ondersteunen van civiele autoriteiten is een van de drie hoofdtaken van Defensie in het Caribisch gebied. De samenwerking tussen defensie en het Korps Politie Sint maarten onderstreept het gezamenlijke streven naar een veilige en stabiele omgeving binnen het Koninkrijk.

MILITARY ASSISTANCE DURING SEARCH OPERATION AT POINT BLANCHE PRISON SINT MAARTEN

Philipsburg, -The Marine Detachment of the Dutch Forces in the Caribbean, provided support to the Sint Maarten Police Force during a search operation at the Point Blanche prison. The objective of this operation was to maintain order within the prison and ensure the safety of both staff and inmates.

Supporting civil authorities is one of the three main tasks of the Dutch Forces in the Caribbean. The cooperation between Defence and the Sint Maarten Police Force highlights the shared commitment to maintaining a safe and stable environment within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
