Na aña 2023 a fundá un team nashonal pa represèntá Bonaire na nivel internashonal. E aña ei mes eteam aki a impreshoná durante e Coach Pitch World Series na Illinois. Aña pasá, e mesun team aki a logra di yega na prome luga den e World Series.

I e aña aki, e team a bira kampion den e torneo Latin America U9 na Colombia. Ku esaki, e team a gana e derecho pa pronto represèntá Latino Amerika den e prestigioso torneo di U9 Mustang World Series na Vacaville, California.

Partisipashon den kompetensianan internashonal ta duna e hubenonan un gran empuje i na mesun momentu e oportunidad pa nan por wordu di skout. Asina mes un di e muchanan a risibí un beka pa studia na un high school den Estados Unidos i sigui desaroya su talento den béisbòl.

ROTARY STEUNT JONGEREN VAN BONAIRE WOLFPACK

Kralendijk,- De Bonaire Wolfpack Baseball Foundation is opgericht in 2020 en heeft als missie om jongeren op Bonaire te introduceren in de wereld van honkbal en hen te ondersteunen in hun persoonlijke en sportieve groei.

Onlangs vertelden Wolfpack bestuursleden Anthony Ignacio en Kumar Piar bij de Rotary over de ontwikkeling van de jonge spelers.

In 2023 werd een nationaal team voor Bonaire opgericht om Bonaire internationaal te vertegenwoordigen.

Het team maakte in dat jaar  direct indruk in de Coach Pitch World Series  in Illinois. Vorig jaar werd dit team zelfs eerste in de World Series. En dit jaar werd het team kampioen in het  Latin America U9 Toernooi in Colombia. Hiermee verdiende het team de eer om Latijns-Amerika binnenkort te vertegenwoordigen op de prestigieuze U9 Mustang World Series in Vacaville, Californië.

Deelname aan internationale wedstrijden geeft de jongeren een enorme stimulans en tegelijkertijd de mogelijkheid om gescout te worden. Zo heeft een van de kinderen een studiebeurs gekregen om in de verenigde Staten een highschool opleiding te volgen en zijn honkbaltalent verder te ontwikkelen.

Deelname aan internationale competities kost veel geld.

Daarom doneerde de Rotary Club Bonaire in juni $5.000 als bijdrage in de kosten.

ROTARY SUPPORTS YOUNG PEOPLE FROM BONAIRE WOLFPACK

Kralendijk,- The Bonaire Wolfpack Baseball Foundation was founded in 2020 with the mission of introducing young people on Bonaire to the world of baseball and supporting them in their personal and athletic growth.

Recently, Wolfpack board members Anthony Ignacio and Kumar Piar talked at Rotary about the development of the young players.

In 2023, a national team was formed to represent Bonaire internationally.

The team immediately made an impression in the Coach Pitch World Series in Illinois that year. Last year, this team even came first in the World Series. And this year, the team became champions in the Latin America U9 Tournament in Colombia.

This earned the team the honour of representing Latin America at the prestigious U9 Mustang World Series in Vacaville, California.

Participating in international competitions gives young people a huge boost and, at the same time, the opportunity to be scouted. For example, one of the children received a scholarship to attend high school in the United States and further develop his baseball talent.

Participating in international competitions is expensive. That is why the Rotary Club Bonaire donated $5,000 in June to help cover the costs.
