ONDERGRONDSE BRAND STORTPLAATS SUCCESVOL GEBLUST

Kralendijk,- In de periode van 18 tot en met 24 mei 2026 is de ondergrondse brand aan de oostkant van de nieuwe stortplaats succesvol aangepakt.

Controlemetingen tonen aan dat er geen hitte meer aanwezig is. Voor de bestrijding van de brand is gedurende vier dagen intensief gewerkt met de inzet van een graafmachine en een watertruck, waarbij in totaal 325 m³ water is gebruikt.

Dankzij de gezamenlijke inzet van medewerkers van Selibon N.V. en alle betrokken partijen, is verdere verspreiding voorkomen.

Uit voorzorg blijft het gebied de komende periode gemonitord. Hoewel de situatie momenteel stabiel is, blijft Selibon N.V. de locatie nauwlettend monitoren als voorzorgsmaatregel.

UNDERGROUND LANDFILL FIRE SUCCESSFULLY EXTINGUISHED

Kralendijk,-  The underground fire on the east side of the new landfill area was successfully attended with during the period from May 18 to May 24, 2026.

Control measurements show that there is no heat present. Intensive work was carried out over four days to combat the fire, involving the deployment of an excavator and a water truck, using a total of 325 m³ of water.

Thanks to the joint efforts of Selibon N.V. employees and all parties involved, further spread was prevented.

As a precaution, the area will continue to be monitored in the coming period. Although the situation is currently stable, Selibon N.V. continues to closely monitor the location as a precautionary measure.
