Kralendijk ,- Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is blij de winnaars van de Capture Bonaire Photo Contest 2026 bekend te kunnen maken, waarmee de creativiteit, de perspectieven en de passie van fotografen die de unieke schoonheid van het eiland zowel boven als onder water hebben vastgelegd worden gevierd.

De wedstrijd van dit jaar, met als thema “A Different Kind of Summer” (Een andere soort zomer), ontving meer dan 330 inzendingen. Van levendige onderwatertaferelen en adembenemende landschappen tot intieme momenten die het karakter van het eiland laten zien: de inzendingen boden een gevarieerd beeld van wat Bonaire tot een bijzondere bestemming maakt.

Na een zorgvuldige afweging door de jury zijn dit de drie winnaars:

• 1^e plaats – Erick Alvarez

Prijs: Een verblijf van drie nachten voor twee personen in het Sorobon Luxury Bay Hotel, inclusief ontbijt en een viergangendiner aan het strand voor twee personen bij Reef Bar.

• 2^e plaats – Maddy

Prijs: Een verblijf van twee nachten in één van de huizen van Slagbaai, inclusief een rondleiding door Washington Slagbaai National Park onder leiding van George “Kultura” Thode.

• 3^e plaats – Nancy van Maanen

Prijs: Een fotografie-ervaring van een halve dag onder begeleiding, bedoeld om de persoonlijke band van de winnaar met Bonaire vast te leggen, inclusief een collectie professioneel bewerkte foto’s die de ervaring, de herinneringen en de verbondenheid met het eiland vieren.

De winnende foto’s, samen met een selectie van opvallende inzendingen uit de wedstrijd, zullen het hele jaar door worden opgenomen in de marketingactiviteiten van TCB om Bonaire onder de aandacht te brengen vanuit het perspectief en de ervaringen van mensen die het eiland bezoeken en zich ermee verbonden voelen.

TOURISM CORPORATION BONAIRE ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF THE CAPTURE BONAIRE PHOTO CONTEST 2026

Kralendijk,- Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is pleased to announce the winners of the Capture Bonaire Photo Contest 2026, celebrating the creativity, perspectives, and passion of photographers who captured the island’s distinctive beauty both above and below the water.

This year’s contest, held under the theme “A Different Kind of Summer,” received more than 330 entries. From vibrant underwater scenes and breathtaking landscapes to intimate moments that showcase the character of the island, the submissions offered a diverse look at what makes Bonaire a special destination.

After careful consideration by the judging panel, the top three winners are:

• 1^st Place – Erick Alvarez
   Prize: A three-night stay for two at Sorobon Luxury Bay Hotel, including breakfast, plus a four-course beachfront dinner for two at Reef Bar.
• 2^nd Place – Maddy
   Prize: A two-night stay at one of the houses in Slagbaai, including a guided tour of Washington Slagbaai National Park led by George “Kultura” Thode.
• 3^rd Place – Nancy van Maanen
   Prize: A half-day guided photography experience designed to capture the winner’s personal connection with Bonaire, along with a collection of professionally edited images celebrating the experience, memories, and connection to the island.

The winning photographs, along with a selection of standout entries from the contest, will be incorporated into TCB’s marketing activities throughout the year, helping showcase Bonaire through the eyes and experiences of those who visit and connect with the island.
