ROTARY CLUB BONAIRE BEGINT ROTARYJAAR MET TWEE SOCIALE INITIATIEVEN.

Kralendijk,- In de hele wereld beginnen Rotary Clubs hun boekjaar op 1 juli. De Rotary Club Bonaire begon de eerste dag van het jaar met het ondersteunen van twee maatschappelijke doelen. Vertegenwoordigers van de stichting Ambulance Wens en van de stichting Wolf Pack Baseball bezochten de lunchvergadering om de symbolische cheques in ontvangst te nemen.

De stichting Ambulance Wens Bonaire vervult sinds 2024 gratis wensen van immobiele of terminale patienten.

De stichting Wolf Pack Baseball is zes jaar geleden opgericht door drie baseballers met kinderen in dezelfde leeftijd. De oprichters wilden kinderen op Bonaire de mogelijkheid bieden zich te ontwikkelen in deze sport. Inmiddels zijn er zes kinderen toegelaten tot een highschool in de VS. In 2026 was het eerste internationale toernooi gelijk een groot succes voor de kinderen. 

 De opbrengst van de Feria 2026 maakt deze donaties mogelijk.

THE ROTARY CLUB OF BONAIRE KICKS OFF THE ROTARY YEAR WITH TWO COMMUNITY INITIATIVES.

Kralendijk,- Rotary Clubs around the world begin their fiscal year on July 1. The Rotary Club of Bonaire kicked off the first day of the year by supporting two charitable causes. Representatives from the Ambulance Wens Foundation and the Wolf Pack Baseball Foundation attended the luncheon meeting to receive the symbolic checks.

Since 2024, the Ambulance Wens Bonaire Foundation has been fulfilling the wishes of immobile or terminally ill patients free of charge.

The Wolf Pack Baseball Foundation was founded six years ago by three baseball players with children of the same age. The founders wanted to offer children on Bonaire the opportunity to develop their skills in this sport. Six children have since been admitted to high schools in the U.S. In 2026, the first international tournament was an immediate success for the children. 

The proceeds from Feria 2026 make these donations possible.
