AANSTELLING INTERIM-VOORZITTER RAAD VAN TOEZICHT MHC  

Kralendijk,- Per 1 januari 2025 is Paul Rosenmöller benoemd als interim-voorzitter van de Raad van Toezicht (RvT) van Mental Health Caribbean (MHC).

Hij vervangt de leden van de RvT die tot het einde van 2024 in functie waren. Zijn belangrijkste taak is, naast het houden van toezicht, het begeleiden van de procedure voor de aanstelling van een volledig nieuwe Raad van Toezicht.

De vorige Raad van Toezicht bestond uit voorzitter Jurenne Hooi en leden Don Olthof, Theo de Kool, Giullitta Anthony en Gerald Simmons – de Jong. Deze raad trad gezamenlijk op 31 december 2024 af. Waarom een nieuwe Raad van Toezicht? In de afgelopen periode heeft de RvT gereflecteerd op de ontwikkeling van MHC.

Zij hebben geconstateerd dat de organisatie zich heeft ontwikkeld tot een professionele organisatie, waar medewerkers, bestuur en de Raad trots op kunnen zijn. Dit markeert een belangrijk moment: MHC staat klaar voor de volgende fase van haar ontwikkeling. Een belangrijke eerste stap hierin was de aanstelling van een nieuwe directeur-bestuurder.

Een goed functionerende RvT blijft van cruciaal belang om de nieuwe directeur te ondersteunen en om de verdere groei van MHC te begeleiden. Om ruimte te maken voor deze transitie heeft de gehele RvT besloten haar functie beschikbaar te stellen.

Dit besluit was in lijn met het feit dat drie leden van de RvT aan het einde van hun tweede termijn waren gekomen, waardoor opvolging noodzakelijk werd. Dit biedt een unieke kans om, met een interim-voorzitter, een nieuwe Raad van Toezicht samen te stellen die past bij de toekomstplannen van MHC. De RvT heeft een nieuwe interim[1]voorzitter voor deze taak aangesteld, Paul Rosenmöller. Over Paul Rosenmöller Paul Rosenmöller (1956) is een ervaren bestuurder, toezichthouder en politicus met sterke betrokkenheid bij Caribisch Nederland. Zijn brede kennis, uitgebreide ervaring en verbindende kwaliteiten maken hem bij uitstek geschikt voor deze rol. Sinds 2019 is hij fractievoorzitter in de Eerste Kamer en ook voorzitter van de Eerste Kamercommissie voor Koninkrijksrelaties (KOREL). Daarnaast is hij sinds 2022 lid en sinds 2024 vicevoorzitter van de Raad van Toezicht van de Scholengemeenschap Bonaire (SGB). Met zijn jarenlange ervaring brengt Paul rust, stabiliteit en een verbindende aanpak.

Zijn uitgebreide kennis van en betrokkenheid bij het Caribisch gebied, gecombineerd met zijn bewezen leiderschap, straalt vertrouwen en integriteit uit. Deze kwaliteiten hebben de aftredende RvT leden ertoe gebracht Paul aan te bevelen en te benoemen als interim-voorzitter van de Raad van Toezicht van MHC. APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM CHAIRMAN OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD MHC

Kralendijk,- As of January 1, 2025, Paul Rosenmöller has been appointed as interim chairman of the Supervisory Board of Mental Health Caribbean (MHC).

He replaces the members of the Supervisory Board who were in office until the end of 2024. His main task, in addition to supervision, is to guide the procedure for the appointment of a completely new Supervisory Board.

The previous Supervisory Board consisted of chairman Jurenne Hooi and members Don Olthof, Theo de Kool, Giullitta Anthony and Gerald Simmons – de Jong. This board collectively stepped down from office on December 31, 2024.

To make room for this transition, the entire Supervisory Board has decided to make its position available. This decision was in line with the fact that three members of the Supervisory Board had reached the end of their second term, making succession necessary.

This offers a unique opportunity to put together a new Supervisory Board, guided by an interim chairman, that fits in with MHC’s future plans. The Supervisory Board has appointed a new interim chairman for this task, Paul Rosenmöller. About Paul Rosenmöller Paul Rosenmöller (1956) is an experienced executive, supervisor and politician with a strong commitment to the Caribbean Netherlands.

His broad knowledge, extensive experience and connecting qualities make him ideally suited for this role. Since 2019, he has been party leader in the Senate (Eerste Kamer) and also chairman of the Senate Committee for Kingdom Relations (KOREL).

In addition, he has been a member since 2022 and vice-chairman since 2024 of the Supervisory Board of the Scholengemeenschap Bonaire (SGB). With his years of experience, Paul brings peace, stability and a connecting approach.

His extensive knowledge of and commitment to the Caribbean, combined with his proven leadership, radiates trust and integrity. These qualities have led the retiring Supervisory Board members to recommend and appoint Paul as interim chairman of the Supervisory Board of MHC. Acknowledgements
