CULINARY TEAM BONAIRE OPENS RECRUITMENT FOR NEW TALENT
Kralendijk,-Culinary Team Bonaire, a multiple gold award-winning culinary team, has officially opened recruitment for new members who are ready to represent Bonaire and its rich Caribbean heritage on an international stage.
The team is currently seeking motivated and talented candidates for the following positions:
- Pastry Chef
- Junior Chef
- Senior chef for Beef competition
These roles offer a unique opportunity to train, compete, and grow alongside some of the island’s most dedicated culinary professionals, while showcasing Bonaire’s culinary identity throughout the Caribbean.
Position Requirements
Junior Chef
- Between 16 and 19 years of age
- Strong passion for professional cooking
- Preferably enrolled in a hospitality (horeca) education program
- Written permission from a parent or legal caretaker
Pastry Chef
- Multiple years of professional experience in pastry arts
Beef Chef
- Multiple years of professional experience with preparing, cooking and combining beef
Requirements for All Candidates
- A strong connection to and understanding of Caribbean cuisine
- A valid passport suitable for travel to multiple Caribbean islands
- High levels of commitment, discipline, and resilience

Training & International Experience
Training will resume in March 2026, with a minimum of two training days per month. As competition season approaches, sessions will increase to weekly training. Selected team members will also participate in an international one-week culinary trip to Barbados in November, providing invaluable exposure and competitive experience.
