VRIJWILLIGERS HOSPICE KAS FLAMBOYAN ONTVANGEN CERTIFICAAT NA SUCCESVOLLE VTPZ TRAINING

Kalendijk,- Hospice Kas Flamboyan heeft in samenwerking met VPTZ Nederland (Vrijwilligers Palliatieve Terminale Zorg) de tweede en laatste reeks van haar vrijwilligerstraining afgerond. Van 15 tot en met 20 september volgden de vrijwilligers vier cursusdagen waarin de thema’s Communicatie en Waarden & Normen centraal stonden. Samen met de eerdere trainingsweek in februari, waarin de thema’s Werken vanuit de Bedoeling en Omgaan met verlies, rouw en emoties aan bod kwamen, zijn alle vier de thema’s nu behandeld en is de training officieel afgerond.

“Onze vrijwilligers spelen een onmisbare rol in de zorg die we bieden. Met deze training willen we hen nog meer houvast en vertrouwen geven in hun waardevolle werk,” zegt Danny Rojer, directeur van Kas Flamboyan.

De cursus werd wederom begeleid door trainer Ruth Elenbaas uit Nederland, die ook de eerste reeks in februari verzorgde. “Wat fijn om weer terug te zijn en zo warm te worden onthaald door deelnemers die ik al kende van februari. Het was mooi om hen hun welverdiende certificaat van VPTZ te mogen uitreiken.”

Naast de trainingsdagen vond op zaterdag een gezamenlijke bijeenkomst plaats, waarin de vrijwilligers samen stilstonden bij de kern van hun rol binnen het hospice: Bij Hospice Kas Flamboyan is het mogelijk te sterven op je eigen manier, in een huiselijke sfeer, in nabijheid van naasten. Vanuit een respectvolle, liefdevolle en veilige houding zijn de vrijwilligers, verpleegkundigen en coördinatoren er voor bewoners en hun families.

Coördinatoren Mimi Dongen & Angelo Goeloe: “Samen met een groot team zetten wij ons in om kwaliteit en liefde toe te voegen aan het leven van de bewoner. Naast onze vrijwilligers zijn ook de verpleegkundigen van thuiszorg, de artsen, maar ook familie en dierbaren betrokken. De bewoner staat altijd centraal en wij werken samen als één team. Het is mooi om te zien hoe onze vrijwilligers elkaar inspireren en versterken. We werken samen vanuit dezelfde bedoeling: Er zijn, met aandacht en liefde.”

Een van de deelnemers, Sovienca, vertelt enthousiast: “Door de training begrijp ik beter hoe ik er écht kan zijn voor bewoners en hun dierbaren. Het geeft me houvast in dit bijzondere werk.”

De training vond plaats in Sentro di Bario Nikiboko en telde in totaal bijna 40 deelnemers. Met het afronden van deze twee trainingsreeksen blijft Hospice Kas Flamboyan investeren in de kwaliteit van zorg en de ondersteuning van vrijwilligers. Zo kan iedere bewoner rekenen op nabijheid, warmte en respect in de laatste levensfase.

VOLUNTEERS OF HOSPICE KAS FLAMBOYAN RECEIVE CERTIFICATE AFTER SUCCESSFUL VPTZ TRAINING

Hospice Kas Flamboyan, in collaboration with VPTZ Netherlands (Volunteers in Palliative Terminal Care), has completed the second and final series of its volunteer training. From September 15 to 20, volunteers attended four training days focusing on the themes of Communication and Values & Norms. Together with the training week held in February, which covered Working with Intention and Dealing with loss, grief, and emotions, all four themes have now been completed and the training is officially concluded.

“Our volunteers play an indispensable role in the care we provide. With this training, we want to give them even more guidance and confidence in their valuable work,” says Danny Rojer, director of Kas Flamboyan.

The course was once again led by trainer Ruth Elenbaas from the Netherlands, who also conducted the first series in February. “It was wonderful to be back and to receive such a warm welcome from participants I already knew from February. It was a joy to hand them their well-deserved VPTZ certificate.”

In addition to the training days, a joint gathering was held on Saturday, where volunteers reflected on the essence of their role within the hospice: At Hospice Kas Flamboyan, it is possible to die in your own way, in a homelike atmosphere, close to loved ones. With respect, compassion, and a sense of safety, volunteers, nurses, and coordinators are there for residents and their families.

Coordinators Mimi Dongen & Angelo Goeloe: “Together with a large team, we dedicate ourselves to bringing quality and love to the life of each resident. Alongside our volunteers, home-care nurses, doctors, as well as family and loved ones are all involved. The resident is always at the center, and we work together as one team. It’s beautiful to see how our volunteers inspire and strengthen one another. We are united by the same purpose: to be present, with attention and love.”

One of the participants, Sovienca, shared enthusiastically: “Through the training, I better understand how I can truly be there for residents and their loved ones. It gives me guidance in this special work.”

The training took place at Sentro di Bario Nikiboko and involved nearly 40 participants in total. By completing these two training series, Hospice Kas Flamboyan continues to invest in the quality of care and the support of its volunteers. In this way, every resident can count on closeness, warmth, and respect in the final phase of life.
