RESIDENTS AND PASSERSBY MAY OBSERVE WATER AND FOAM ON KAYA GOBERNADOR N. DEBROTBUT THERE IS NO CAUSE FOR ALARM.

Kralendijk — On the 30th and 31st of March 2026, Curoil will conduct operational tests of the newly installed fire suppression system at its Hato terminal.

These tests are part of the final steps to comply with the latest safety requirements of the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT).

Residents and passersby on Kaya Gobernador N. Debrot, near the Hato Depot, may notice water or foam during these activities. A limited amount of foam may temporarily reach the road surface. These are planned safety tests and do not indicate an emergency or incident.

During these tests, the system will be operated using water and fluorine-free foam to verify that it functions correctly and is ready for use. The foam contains no PFAS and poses no risk to people or the environment.

Curoil is conducting these tests with the safety and security of the community in mind and wants to assure the community that there is no cause for concern. Curoil thanks the community of Bonaire for their understanding and cooperation.
