SABA EN SINT EUSTATIUS: BQ CYBERSECURITY CONVENTION KOMT NAAR SABA EN SINT EUSTATIUS

Oranjestad/The Bottom – Professionals en beleidsmakers die werken aan online veiligheid op Saba en Sint Eustatius krijgen binnenkort de gelegenheid om deel te nemen aan de .

BQ Cybersecurity Convention, een initiatief dat gericht is op het versterken van cyberbewustzijn en digitale weerbaarheid op de eilanden.

Tijdens de conventie komen het politiekorps, overheidsorganisaties, aanbieders van vitale infrastructuur, ICT-professionals, bedrijfsleiders, beleidsmakers en anderen die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de bescherming van digitale systemen en gegevens binnen hun organisaties samen.

Nu digitale dreigingen wereldwijd blijven toenemen, richt het evenement zich op het delen van kennis, het versterken van samenwerking en het bieden van praktische strategieën die organisaties kunnen gebruiken om hun weerbaarheid tegen cyberdreigingen te verbeteren.

Professionals die werken met digitale systemen en online veiligheid worden uitgenodigd om zich te registreren.

• De sessie op Saba vindt plaats op dinsdag 7 april 2026 van 09:00 tot 13:00 uur.
• De sessie op Sint Eustatius vindt plaats op 9 april 2026 van 09:00 tot 13:00 uur.

Publieke ‘Cyber Awareness Night’

Naast de professionele sessies wordt op Sint Eustatius ook een Public Cyber Awareness Night georganiseerd van 18:00 tot 20:00 uur in het Christina and William Flanders Community Centre.

Deze avondsessie is open voor alle inwoners en richt zich op praktische tips om veilig online te blijven, zoals het herkennen van online oplichting, het beschermen van persoonlijke gegevens en het versterken van digitale veiligheid in het dagelijks gebruik.

BQ CYBERSECURITY CONVENTION COMING TO SABA AND ST. EUSTATIUS

Oranjestad/ The Bottom – Professionals and policymakers working on online security on Saba and St. Eustatius will soon have the opportunity to participate in the .BQ Cybersecurity Convention, an initiative aimed at strengthening cyber awareness and digital resilience across the islands.

The convention will bring together the police force, government organizations, critical infrastructure providers, ICT professionals, business leaders, policymakers, and others responsible for protecting digital systems and data within their organizations.

As cyber threats continue to evolve worldwide, the event focuses on sharing knowledge, strengthening cooperation, and providing practical strategies that organizations can use to improve their cybersecurity preparedness.

Professionals working with digital systems and online safety are invited to register.

• The Saba session will take place on Tuesday, the 7^th April 2026 from 09:00 till 13:00.
• The St. Eustatius session will take place on the 9^th April from 09:00 till 13:00.

Public Cyber Awareness Night

In addition to the professional sessions, a Public Cyber Awareness Night will be held on St. Eustatius from 18:00 till 20:00 at the Christina and William Flanders Community Centre.

This evening session is open to all residents and will focus on practical guidance for staying safe online, including recognizing scams, protecting personal data, and strengthening everyday digital security.
