AIR CENTURY BEGINT MET NIEUWE ROUTE VAN SANTO DOMINGO NAAR BONAIRE
Kralendijk,- Air Century en Bonaire International Airport (BIA), in samenwerking met Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), kondigen met trots een nieuwe vliegverbinding aan die Bonaire verbindt met Santo Domingo’s La Isabela International Airport.
Dit initiatief verbetert de betaalbare regionale connectiviteit en breidt de reismogelijkheden uit voor zowel vakantiegangers als mensen die vrienden en familie bezoeken.
Vanaf 18 juni 2025 introduceert Air Century een seizoensgebonden wekelijkse vlucht op woensdag tussen Bonaire en de Dominicaanse Republiek, die Flamingo Airport verbindt met La Isabela International Airport in Santo Domingo.
BIA en Air Century erkennen de vraag naar verbeterde en betaalbare regionale luchtverbindingen en zijn zes maanden geleden begonnen met gesprekken om deze vluchten te realiseren.
La Isabela International Airport is een belangrijke luchthaven voor Santo Domingo en biedt reizigers gemakkelijke toegang tot de Dominicaanse Republiek.
De nieuwe vluchten worden uitgevoerd met een vliegtuig met 50 stoelen, om tegemoet te komen aan de vraag tijdens de piekperiodes in de zomer en winter. Vluchten zijn nu beschikbaar om te boeken, met een speciaal promotietarief van $ 199,- enkele reis.
“Deze nieuwe vlucht verbindt Flamingo Airport met La Isabela Airport, dat gemakkelijk bereikbaar is en gunstig gelegen nabij het stadscentrum”, aldus Maarten van der Scheer, directeur van BIA.

Starting June 18, 2025, Air Century will introduce a seasonal weekly flight on Wednesdays between Bonaire and the Dominican Republic, linking Flamingo Airport with La Isabela International Airport in Santo Domingo. Recognizing the demand for improved and affordable regional air connections, BIA and Air Century began discussions six months ago to make this service a reality.
La Isabela International Airport serves as a key airport to Santo Domingo, providing travelers with convenient access to the Dominican Republic. The new service will be operated with a 50-seat aircraft, catering to demand during the peak summer and winter travel seasons. Flights are now available for booking, with special promotional fare at $199,- one way.
