TEAMBEZOEK FUNDASHON FORMA AAN BELGRADO, SERVIË

Kralendijk – Van 18 tot en met 25 april 2026 bracht een team van vier medewerkers van F Forma Foundation een oriëntatiebezoek aan een school voor volwassenenonderwijs in Belgrado, Servië. Dit bezoek maakte deel uit van een internationaal project dat gericht is op de verdere professionalisering van Forma-docenten, met als doel de kwaliteit van het onderwijs voor Forma-studenten en -deelnemers te versterken.

Het project wordt gefinancierd door Erasmus+, een fonds van de Europese Unie die internationale samenwerking en persoonlijke ontwikkeling stimuleert op gebied van onderwijs, jeugd, training en sport.

Het doel van het bezoek was om in de praktijk te ervaren hoe een programma dat gericht is op het versterken van zelfredzaamheid bij volwassen leerlingen wordt toegepast. Deze uitwisseling vond plaats bij de Branko Pešić-school in Belgrado. De benadering die centraal stond tijdens het bezoek heet LifeComp en richt zich op het opbouwen van een sterke relatie tussen docent en student, waarbij eerst aandacht wordt besteed aan zelfredzaamheidsvaardigheden, gevolgd door vakspecifieke inhoud.

Tijdens het programma verzorgden de Forma-collega’s een presentatie over Bonaire en het werk van Forma. Daarbij werd traditionele lokale klederdracht gedragen, wat veel indruk maakte op de aanwezigen.

Daarnaast bezocht het team de Djuro Salaj-school, die onderwijs verzorgt binnen een gevangenis in Belgrado. Op deze locatie vond ook een ontmoeting plaats met een delegatie uit Gran Canaria van het Centro de Educación Para Adultos, dat eveneens onderwijs in detentie verzorgt. Deze ontmoeting leidde tot een waardevolle uitwisseling van kennis en ervaring. De betrokken scholen en instellingen spraken hun wens uit om in de toekomst samen te werken met Forma.

Op basis van de opgedane inzichten zal het Forma-leiderschap een plan ontwikkelen voor de implementatie van de verschillende benaderingen en ideeën binnen de eigen onderwijsprogramma’s.

Naast het inhoudelijke programma maakten de collega’s ook kennis met de culturele rijkdom van Belgrado door historische monumenten te bezoeken en enkele woorden Servisch te leren.

In de volgende fase van het project staat een bezoek aan Brussel, België, gepland, waar een programma voor de ontwikkeling van digitale vaardigheden bij volwassenen zal worden verkend. Dit bezoek vindt plaats in oktober 2026. Tot slot zullen twee experts uit België en Tsjechië naar Bonaire komen om Forma-medewerkers te trainen in het werken met beide programma’s. Het Erasmus+-project loopt door tot juni 2027.

FORMA FOUNDATION TEAM VISITS BELGRADE, SERBIA

Kralendijk – From 18 to 25 April 2026, a team of four Forma Foundation staff members participated in an orientation visit to an adult education school in Belgrade, Serbia. The visit was part of an international project aimed at further professionalizing Forma teachers to enhance the quality of training offered to Forma students and participants.

The initiative is funded by Erasmus+, a European Union fund that promotes international cooperation and personal development in the fields of education, youth, training, and sport.

The primary purpose of the visit was to observe and experience, firsthand, how a program focused on developing self-sufficiency among adult learners is implemented in practice. This took place at the Branko Pešić Adult Education School. The approach explored during the visit is known as LifeComp, which emphasizes building strong teacher-student relationships and developing key self-reliance skills before focusing on subject-specific content.

As part of the program, Forma colleagues delivered a presentation about Bonaire and the work of Forma, proudly wearing traditional local attire. This cultural exchange made a strong impression on students and staff alike.

The team also visited Djuro Salaj School, which provides education within a prison setting in Belgrade. During this visit, they engaged in a valuable exchange of experiences with representatives from Centro de Educación Para Adultos in Gran Canaria, who also deliver education in prisons. Following these exchanges, several schools and institutions expressed interest in future collaboration with Forma.

Based on the insights gained during the visit, the Forma leadership team will now develop an implementation plan to integrate the newly acquired approaches and methodologies into Forma’s educational programs.

In addition to the professional program, the team took time to explore Belgrade’s historical landmarks and even learned a few Serbian words, adding to the cultural richness of the experience.

The project will continue with a follow-up visit to Brussels, Belgium, scheduled for October 2026, where the team will study adult digital skills development programs. In the final phase, experts from Belgium and the Czech Republic will travel to Bonaire to provide training to Forma staff. The Erasmus+ project will run until June 2027.
