TOURISM CORPORATION BONAIRE ONDERTEKENT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING MET SEMII MARTEN ALS LOKALE AMBASSADEUR VAN BONAIRE VOOR 2026

Kralendijk,- Tourism Corporation Bonaire(TCB) is blij de ondertekening van eenMemorandum of understanding (MOU) met Semii Marten aan te kondigen, waarmee zij officieel wordt benoemd tot Lokale Ambassadeur van Bonaire voor 2026.

De MOU werd op 30 december 2025 ondertekend op het kantoor van Tourism Corporation Bonaire.

Deze samenwerking is een voortzetting van de inzet van TCB om de cultuur, creativiteit en gemeenschap van Bonaire te promoten door samen te werken met lokaal talent dat het karakter en de waarden van het eiland op authentieke wijze vertegenwoordigt.

Als Lokale Ambassadeur zal Semii Marten de promotie van Bonaire ondersteunen door middel van haar artistieke werk, haar publieke aanwezigheid en haar betrokkenheid bij zowel inwoners als bezoekers.

Semii Marten is een veelzijdig singer-songwriter, danseres en radiopresentatrice die, hoewel geboren op Curaçao, op Bonaire is opgegroeid. Ze presenteert het dagelijkse radioprogramma The Morning Flavor, geeft danslessen op een lokale dansschool en treedt regelmatig op in hotels, restaurants en bij grote evenementen op het eiland.

Ze staat ook bekend om haar actieve betrokkenheid bij de lokale gemeenschap en haar samenwerking met andere Bonaireaanse talenten bij haar optredens. Zo creëert ze inclusieve platforms die lokaal talent vieren en naar een hoger niveau tillen.

Naast haar artistieke carrière heeft Semii een bachelordiploma in sociaal-pedagogisch werk en een onderwijsbevoegdheid, wat haar sterke betrokkenheid bij onderwijs en gemeenschapsontwikkeling weerspiegelt.

In de loop der jaren heeft ze meerdere nummers uitgebracht en opgetreden op evenementen en festivals op de ABC-eilanden, in Nederland en op Bali, waarmee ze heeft bijgedragen aan de internationale bekendheid van de Bonaireaanse cultuur.

Door Semii Marten aan te stellen als Lokale Ambassadeur van Bonaire wil TCB authentieke lokale stemmen versterken en de creatieve energie van het eiland vieren, terwijl tegelijkertijd de positie van Bonaire als cultureel rijke bestemming wordt versterkt.

Kralendijk,- Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Semii Marten, officially appointing her as a Bonaire Local Ambassador for 2026.

The MOU was signed on December 30^th, 2025, at the office of Tourism Corporation Bonaire.

Through this collaboration, TCB continues its commitment to showcasing Bonaire’s culture, creativity, and community by partnering with local talent who authentically represent the island’s spirit and values.

As a Local Ambassador, Semii Marten will support the promotion of Bonaire through her artistic work, public presence, and engagement with both residents and visitors.

Semii Marten is a multi-talented singer-songwriter, dancer, and radio host who, while born in Curaçao, was raised on the island of Bonaire.

She hosts the daily radio program The Morning Flavor, teaches dance classes at a local dance school, and regularly performs at hotels, restaurants, and major events across the island. She is also known for actively involving the local community and collaborating with other Bonaire-based talents in her performances, creating inclusive platforms that celebrate and elevate local talent.

In addition to her artistic career, Semii holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Socio-Educational Care Work and a Teaching Qualification Certificate, reflecting her strong commitment to education and community development. Over the years, she has released multiple songs and performed at events and festivals across the ABC islands, the Netherlands, and Bali, contributing to the international visibility of Bonaire’s cultural scene.

By appointing Semii Marten as a Bonaire Local Ambassador, TCB aims to amplify authentic local voices and celebrate the island’s creative energy while strengthening Bonaire’s position as a culturally rich destination.
