CBS VOERT OMNIBUSENQUÊTE UIT IN CARIBISCH NEDERLAND

In de periode van september tot en met december 2025 gaan medewerkers van het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS) langs bij willekeurig geselecteerde inwoners van Bonaire, Sint Eustatius en Saba. Zij worden gevraagd deel te nemen aan de Omnibusenquête, een grootschalig onderzoek naar de leefomstandigheden in Caribisch Nederland.

Met dit onderzoek verzamelt het CBS gegevens over thema’s zoals gezondheid, huisvesting en veiligheid. Deze informatie is onmisbaar om een goed beeld te krijgen van hoe het gaat met de inwoners van de eilanden.

Zowel beleidsmakers als onderzoekers, bedrijven en bewoners zelf hebben behoefte aan betrouwbare cijfers over het dagelijks leven in Caribisch Nederland.

In totaal worden er 2.029 op Bonaire, 674 op Sint Eustatius en 578 op Saba benaderd. Het CBS benadrukt dat medewerking van de geselecteerde deelnemers van groot belang is om een volledig en representatief beeld te krijgen.

De vertrouwelijkheid van de verzamelde gegevens is wettelijk vastgelegd. Het CBS neemt strikte maatregelen om de privacy van alle deelnemers te beschermen. Interviewers die de enquête afnemen kunnen zich legitimeren met een officiële CBS-pas.

CBS CONDUCTS OMNIBUS SURVEY IN THE CARIBBEAN NETHERLANDS

Between September and December 2025, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) interviewers will be visiting randomly selected residents of Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba.

These residents will be invited to take part in the Omnibus Survey, a large-scale survey on living conditions in the Caribbean Netherlands.

Through this survey, CBS collects information on topics such as health, housing and safety. These data are essential in order to obtain an accurate picture of the well-being of the population of the islands. Reliable figures on daily life in the Caribbean Netherlands are of great importance to policymakers, researchers, businesses and the residents themselves.

A total of 2,029 residents on Bonaire, 674 on St Eustatius and 578 on Saba will be approached. CBS underlines that the cooperation of the selected participants is crucial in order to obtain a complete and representative picture.

The confidentiality of the collected data is guaranteed by law. CBS takes strict measures to protect the privacy of all participants. Interviewers conducting the survey will carry an official CBS ID card for identification purposes.
