BONAIRE VERSLAAT DE BAHAMAS TIJDENS BOKSWEDSTRIJD IN SINT MAARTEN

Kralendijk –Bonaire kan met trots terugkijken op een succesvolle deelname aan de 5e jaarlijkse editie van het Battle of the Islands bokstoernooi op Sint Maarten.

De 18-jarige Ricardi Muñoz wist met een unaniem jury-oordeel zijn wedstrijd overtuigend te winnen van Colon Smith uit de Bahama’s.

Onder begeleiding van bondscoach William Evertsz en met de steun van de Bonaire Boxing Federation (BBF) heeft Ricardi zich intensief voorbereid op dit toernooi. Zijn overwinning is niet alleen een persoonlijke mijlpaal, maar ook een belangrijke stap voor de verdere ontwikkeling van de bokssport op Bonaire.

“Ik ben enorm trots dat ik Bonaire mocht vertegenwoordigen,” zegt Ricardi Muñoz. “Deze ervaring geeft me nog meer motivatie om hard te blijven trainen en mezelf verder te ontwikkelen als bokser.”

De deelname aan dit toernooi werd mede mogelijk gemaakt door de St. Maarten National Boxing Federation, The Challenge gym,

BECS en Indebon, die met hun bijdragen hebben bijgedragen aan het realiseren van deze sportieve reis. BONAIRE DEFEATS BAHAMAS IN BOXING MATCH IN SINT MAARTEN

Kralendijk – Bonaire can proudly look back on a successful participation in the 5th annual edition of The Battle of the Islands boxing tournament on Sint Maarten. The 18-year-old Ricardi Muñoz convincingly won his match against Colon Smith from the Bahamas by unanimous decision of the judges.

Under the guidance of national coach William Evertsz and with the support of the Bonaire Boxing Federation (BBF), Ricardi prepared intensively for this tournament. His victory is not only a personal milestone but also an important step for the further development of boxing on Bonaire. “I am very proud that I was able to represent Bonaire,” says Ricardi Muñoz. “This experience gives me even more motivation to keep training hard and continue developing myself as a boxer.”
